Hello, hello! It’s been a while since my last clean eating post, hasn’t it?
Well, here’s what I have to say about this journey I’ve been on: It’s been such a game changer. I absolutely love this way of eating and the way it makes me feel! I’ve experienced little to none of my old symptoms (fatigue, headaches, shakiness, dizziness, mood swings, joint pain, bad blood flow, and more) over the last 68 days!
Let me make it clear, I haven’t been 100% flawlessly clean eating for the entirety of this time. This is a long-term, lifestyle change, so I’m trying to be practical by not holding myself to perfection. I’d say that 75-80% of my meals over the last 68 days have been totally clean. I’ve eaten some not-so-clean things in social situations, which I’m totally okay with (although, I must say, any small symptoms that I have felt have been following these times).
Eating clean takes more thought and preparation, but the benefits far outweigh the costs. My skin is clearer, I have energy to work out every day, I’m rarely bloated, I’m sleeping so much better, my mood is much more stable, and I’ve even lost a few pounds! These awesome results, combined with the negative stuff I tend to feel after eating processed food, are a very real incentive for me to continue this lifestyle long-term! I’m still a beginner at this, so friends, all advice is welcome!
But really… if there’s anything that’s becoming clear to me from this, its that life is better in so many ways when we are taking great care of our bodies! Also, it’s become very clear to me that sweet potatoes in all of their forms are a beautiful gift from heaven.
So long friends. I’m craving an avocado!
