This morning during church, Tim nudged me, showing me a notification from NPR that he had just gotten on his phone.
50 killed, at least 53 injured in mass shooting at Orlando nightclub early this morning.
The largest mass shooting in U.S. history. My heart sunk. Just yesterday, I heard about Christina Grimmie’s tragic shooting in Orlando the night before. Now this. So much death and hurt and tragedy, and my brain is struggling to process it. I’m aching for the lost lives and for the people who are now left without friends, sisters, brothers, husbands, wives, daughters, and sons, left to deal with the aftermath of such a senseless, terrible act.
Praying for these people. Praying for change. If you are near Orlando, here’s how you can help.
Also clinging to this truth: “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9
